7. December

Today started pretty awesomely with a skype call to my parents! That's nice to get up to! But after that -> not so nice. Or a little maybe. Anyhow, if you are part of public transport, stop reading. I have lots to say to you and it's the not nice part.

To cool for make up! Or actually just a lazy bum ;)

But never leave the house without lipgloss right? Naaah nevermind! ;)

I meant to go to an interview/information session from a children's fundraiser organization who need people to raise money by selling foam reindeer antlers in the street and being paid 5% commission. Not the best job and not the best money, but it's a job and I would have at least liked to hear what they say. Instead, I arrived in the city a half hour late because my scheduled bus did not show up. Okay well, this can happen.
Instead I decided to write some christmas cards in the park on the other side of the Yarra. There were lots of tents built up on the side I was originally on and I thought I would check out whatever was going on there, but changed my mind very quickly. Horribly loud, obnoxious metal screamery was blasted over the water into the park and made christmas mail writing only possible with Michael Bublé counter blasting into my ears. When I was done with this task I fell into a deep hole of depression. For those who are not part of the save-Shirin's-good-mood-rescue-team I am stuck in Melbourne at the moment, because of Anja arriving in 11 days. Now, that obviously is very exciting but it also means I cannot move around freely. When she comes I also can't live at Chris and Halia's anymore because of the small space their home provides. Meaning I need to find a cheap and fortunate new short term home for us! I also have to try my best and not loose the money I have gathered so far. Cleaning next week will add a little bit, but it's certainly not a lot! Singing in the streets with Kevin who I met today will also not earn huge amounts, as we don't have a mike to sing and play (guitar) loud enough. So I am in a little hole.
Luckily I had Owen's funny texts to keep my head up.
O: "Surely it's time for some good luck right??"
S: "Sure I will take it, can you tell me where to get it?"
O: "Hmm I hear you can buy it from little green men who live at the end of rainbows."
And then there was Tracy with her tips and strong persuasion on getting me to Tasmania :D We will see.
As I am listing the good things I will add this: On my way to the station in the way to late bus I discovered a love declaration to Lina in the sky.

I also heard back from Kevin and we met in the Carlton Gardens by Fitzroy to practice some songs and check where our repertoires cross and in which way we can enlarge it.
After that I intended to board a tram at 6:15 pm. Oh yeah, public transport again? You can guess what that means. After 50 minutes of waiting I was able to get on the slowest tram earth has witnessed and get to Newport station by eight (not before boarding the train at Southern Cross of course). There buses failed me yet another time and I had to walk home again. It took me two and a half hours to accomplish the journey which under competent circumstances would have used up a third of that.
You can imagine I am not in a great mood again. Tomorrow I will be going for lunch with a neighbor's nanny, who I haven't met yet and then meet again with Kevin to keep practicing, but we have nowhere to meet yet. He lives in a van with his friend and we can't really go in there so we need to find a neat place to practice.

Solo my dears.
I will be diggin into some sweet corn now and watching - wait for it - RETURN OF THE JEDI! KAB¨AMM!

Yeah, okay. now that's settled, goodbye ;)
Skipper
