Nothing ends until you do

I am back to where I started. After my horrid 24 hours in the public area last time I was here while transiting from Cambodia to Bali, Singapore Airport has now returned to its glory. I have been here for sixteen hours, four more to go and actually managed to catch some crooked sleep on the airport floor. As of lately I have been having upset stomachs and today is no exception which really dims my excitement for the upcoming 13 hour flight.
None of you know yet as I write this, but will know when you read this, that it's the 7th of May, not the 13th. I am returning home six days ahead of schedule and none of you know! That makes a long airport stay even harder. The only people I can speak freely to are Nate, David and Hendrik, who is my ninja partner in crime and the only one at home who knows. So when messaging anyone else I have to be super careful! Perfect timing then for Tim to skype call me out of the blue. Don't get me wrong, it was lovely finally talking to him for a longer time and getting all the information out of him I needed to make my plan bulletproof! It was just a bit difficult to find reasonable lies. I told him I was in a mall and couldn't use the video on skype because the connection would not be good enough. While he was flexing his muscle into the camera to show his 9 months progress I frantically searched in my emails for the seemingly real departure and arrival times of my old flight. He thought I was arriving on the 14th and I knew that wasn't right, so I had to get it straight as not to cause confusion at home as to why I wouldn't have fixed it. I think I passed pretty well though, let's hope he was too busy thinking of his upcoming exams to really be worried about me.
I am curious to see how it all turns out so I will lay down my plan so far:
I am landing on the 7th at 20:40 German time in Frankfurt, where I will meet up with secret ninja agent Hendrik-san and plot the exact events of surprising Nadine. Sadly we will probably be too late to get her from work so maybe I will show up with some pizza? But these events are not certain yet.
The next morning it seems like I will be sharing a ride with some stranger to take me home to Aachen, from where I will hopefully unseen hop on a bus to Herzogenrath and knock on my grandparent's door. I am pretty sure they will fall off their chairs ;) Depending on the time I get there I will either spend the night here and go the next day, or already take off towards Jan's house. This will be more complicated. I want to film everyone I surprise and it will be tough as to setting up a camera which he won't see. I also have to be careful that he doesn't spot me out his window so I might have to involve his parents. I want to set down a box in front of the door addressed to him and place a paper inside saying : "Sadly I didn't fit in here" or something like that and then pop up. Hopefully he has practiced his best excitement face. I will find a place to crash for a night and go grocery shopping the next morning to prepare some lunch for my parents. this is the only hole in my scheme. i have no idea when they come home and wether they will be there before Tim, which they have to! I have to figure that out. Maybe I can involve a certain teacher into my plans... So after hopefully surprising my parents with a nice lunch I will head to the school and wait for my brother to finish his exam! There is not a less suspicious moment for me to attack ;) Ulli and Lucy are arriving that same evening and Jenny the next day. Even better than I thought. The next thing I have to hope for is everyone to stay quiet and not reveal the secret to still unsurprised members. I am so excited I have been regularly dreaming about it (and also about screwing it up).

Well now. I am actually in Terminal 3 where Florian and I spent the night so many months ago. Almost exactly nine months ago actually, plus/minus a day. It's unbelievable. I have seen so many places, done so many things and met so many people and I am still me just bigger and better I suppose. Improved through the experiences I have made. Good and bad things happen and when in distress I just shouldn't forget that my life is awesome.
Thank you to everyone who has enriched this experience on site or from far away, for a short time or long term. You are all valuable fruits on the tree of my life. Enough metaphors now, time for the next adventure.

One last time,
Skipper
